**I wrote this last night before heading out to dinner for my older brother's birthday and ran out of time to post it!
I'm currently at my desk wearing two pairs of socks, a heat-tech layer with a t-shirt over the top, a pair of jeans and I'm about to put my Dr. Martens on for the first time since I was 18. There is a light dusting of snow outside but alas not quite enough to go sledging. As you can tell I am coping with the unexpected cold weather well. Along with the rest of the country, I am undeniably and unfortunately poorly equipped for snow.
I watched this youtube video at the beginning of the February to get inspiration for winter outfits. What I remember most from @elliqa's outfit video is her scarf. I neeeed that big scarf. Though her exact one isn't linked she lists a similar one from Weekday.

Champion Reverse Weave Crew Neck Sweatshirt // Goodhood // £80
The countdown to my birthday has begun, unofficially. This sweatshirt from Champion has made its way onto my wishlist as I continue to collect basic wardrobe items in black, grey and white. I’ve considered making a Youtube video about all the clothes I’ve been buying recently; I feel that now after 22 years I’ve finally found a style that I’m totally comfortable with! We’ll see.

I’m also obsessed with this cover of Boys by Charli XCX that Wolf Alice have just released. I was trying to save it for my main weekly blog post but I have to share it now.

First Pair:
580 Re-Engineered // New Balance // £66 In the Sale
Second Pair:
New Balance 580 // New Balance // £100
With current sneakers on the market ranging from Louis Vuitton’s SS18 trainers to the now infamous Balenciaga Triple Ss - it seems the more interesting the sole the better. However, if you don’t want to shell out or like me, can’t afford to spend £700 on shoes but still want to add a chunkier trainer to your wardrobe, New Balance is the brand for you.
New Balance trainers are notoriously comfortable and an addition like this to my teeny tiny collection of shoes wouldn’t go amiss. What do you guys think?

This want of the week is slight a change from my usual fashion pieces. Having bought templates for my blog the last few times I've updated the theme, I'm now hoping to create my own website for all my university work by learning how to code.
Amazon has a wealth of books about HTML and CSS but I’ve found a few dotted in other places too. For example, WHSmith (a shop here in the UK that sells stationery and books) has a magazine with a step by step guide to coding and includes helpful diagrams. If I remember it was £11? Which I thought was pretty good. I also found this Instagram @hisuperhi selling a digital and print version of their coding book. Very nice graphics (photo above).
I’ve been reading a book that I got for Christmas on my morning commute which helps me fill the time I usually spend listening to the same song over and over for 45 minutes. If I could now learn a new skill in that time instead I’d be very grateful!

I have a major university deadline coming up and I’ve been firing on all cylinders this past week to get it ready in time. I feel like I’ve been working on it for months (because I have) and I’m so excited for it to come together! Honestly, I am so unbelievably happy and proud of what I've made.
Anyway, in amongst all my work and an essay deadline, I saw that Weekday was releasing an 11 piece collection with Champion this week. I've saved the date to my phone so I would remember because knowing me I'll forget! Coming out on 25th, the collection features tearaway track pants (a definite yes from me), a sports bra and a pullover fleece. I mainly have my eye on the grey pullover fleece but I’m pretty excited for the whole drop.
Also coming out this week is the Carhartt WIP X PACCBET collaboration dropping on the 24th. I've bought a couple of pieces from Carhartt recently and the quality is amazing on all of them. They're fast becoming one of my go to brands.

Trainers with Flames on the Sole // Sandro Paris // £209 (images are all from their website)
I originally saw these trainers after getting in from work on New Years Eve. I was so tired I couldn't remember the brand name and consequently had to spend some time on the 1st of January scrolling through Instagram's impossible new algorithm to find them again. I believe it was @honeybelleworldblog that was sporting these to bring in the New Year with an all black outfit and beret. I immediately liked them and I was so glad to find the brand easily again. They also come in a mustard and purple colour way (now on sale) which I'm not as much a fan of, but I still really like the style and silhouette of the trainer.

Cloud Paint // £15
You can buy 2 for £25 as well ohhhh
So, it was announced today that Glossier now ship to the UK. I got the all important email this morning and it's. so. exciting. Funny story - I actually emailed Glossier maybe 6 months ago when I was having a creative block finishing my degree. Have I not mentioned before that I'm obsessed with their packaging? They actually replied too which I thought was very sweet.
I've watched most of the people I follow on Youtube promote and discuss Glossier in the States and always felt left out that you can't buy it in the UK. Now the day is finally here and it's time to treat yourself! I can't remember the last time I bought new make up from anywhere other than Superdrug, so it's probably high time I got something different. That being said I rarely use up make up, I think i've had the same blush for over a year and I haven't even hit pan yet.
I definitely want to invest in some of their products soon. I don't know if anyone else is like this but I always have to go and try make up on before I buy it!

I actually tried a pair of 97s on two days ago at the Footlocker in Westfield Shepherds Bush and did. not. buy. them. I'm severely regretting that decision but I'm going to wait for payday to roll around and hopefully I can get a pair - provided they're still in stock! They weren't this exact colour way I don't think, I can't entirely remember but the ones I tried on were all black as well. Anyway, I'm currently in the process of rebuilding my shoe collection (if you can call it a collection) hence the influx of shoe related posts.
The comfort is actually unreal with these shoes and the look on foot is something I instantly liked. The triple black colour way is really clean and fitted in so nicely with what I was wearing that day. The shop assistant kindly put insoles in them for me to try which also really impacted on how the shoe felt on foot. I'm surprised by how much I liked these trainers and hopefully they're still in stock in a months time! Obviously you can see why i'm sad that I came away empty handed...

Track Pants // BlanksFactory // £30
Coming up to winter and with comfort in mind, I'm looking to invest in some plain tracksuit bottoms. Always aiming to steer clear of items that are heavily branded, I found Blanks Factory through Instagram - like most brands I look at now! With a range of full tracksuits, separate sweaters and joggers, tees and hoodies, Blanks Factory is now my go to for high quality and perfectly priced base items. I already own a pair of black joggers from Pull & Bear - which I wear all the time either just around the house or paired with trainers and a cropped hoodie. They have become a staple part of my wardrobe and now a grey pair would make a perfect addition! As the days are getting shorter and a London commute ahead of me, comfort is going to be my number 1 aim when i'm rushing out the door for the train.

Carrie Pocket Tee // Carhartt // £23
I try and circulate basic tees in my wardrobe as much as possible, occasionally adding in stripes too if i'm feeling adventurous haha. I think they're such a crucial item to have and help make any outfit look sharp. This tee is available in 3 other colours including black and grey. It would look great layered with a white long sleeve and tucked into a denim skirt.

Wood Wood Moorgate Hoodie // Goodhood // £145
I feel like i'm constantly looking to winter months when I want to buy something new. I literally went out today in the rain with an umbrella, wooly hat, jumper and coat - it's July. Any excuse to wear more layers... If I could live in oversized sweatshirts and jeans forever I probably would. I remember this style of hoodie being in last winter and desperately wanting one from Urban Outfitters. Arguably I think this one is even nicer with the subtle embroidery and silver zip. I'd probably style this with light wash jeans, a white t-shirt and possibly white trainers? maybe - so all white Vans Old Skools or just a classic pair of Converses.

Camo Trousers // ASOS // £32
I've always wanted to pull off patterned trousers. Having lived in jeans and leggings, venturing into brightly coloured trousers is not something i've considered, but you know, there's always room for change. Camo trousers, yes. These were in fashion a while ago but I've found myself trying to decide between a new pair of jeans or trousers like these. I'd probably pair them with 1. white cropped top + vans or 2. oversized black jumper and air max 95s.
